RIO OLYMPICS
We have been talking about potentially have players join as members of the Japanese Athletic Commission in the Rio Olympics in August. The 1st idea was to have all comm members magically be sent together and make it a monthly event and everyone could be traveling together. But some may not want to send their muses for one reason or another, so I want to know the muns opinions.
This has no basis in reality, but it's part of the comm universe. In reality, Tennis, for instance, only ATP members can 2 other players for each country can complete in each tournament (singles, mixed doubles, doubles). Japan is not completing in Basketball or Volleyball for men, there's also no baseball in the Olympics.
SITUATION A
The Athletic Commission is large, so you would have the stronger players and those who are not as strong or too remarkable might have been called as back up. If we decide on that, then mods would organise rooms and make it a comm event, similar to training camp but longer.
SITUATION B
Muns sign up whatever character they want to send over to Rio. So not everyone would go. In that case there would be no modding and muns can decide on what they want.
SITUATION C - University World Tour
We just leave the Olympics idea behind, and only high level characters are allowed to go and follow reality (no baseball, no volley, basketball, and ony Tezuka and Echizen are allowed to compete in tennis + 2, swimming and cycling at muns discretion) and instead have a University World Tour, which would be a completely fictional event. Teams would be formed to represent Japan, and they would play agains over university league teams from different countries. We could have a tour sort of thing, so they travel to a few countries, of have it set in another country. In this case, all characters can go. Teams would be mixed, so it's a chance to play for Japan with members of a different uni.
AU WEEK
In most comms I've been part of, there is often a random AU week where characters from Sunday to Saturday live an alternate reality. I'm sure many have played an AU Week in your rp life. Before we do it though, suggestions of scenarios would be great, and then we can all vote on what we would want to play the most. Here are some examples.
1) Hogwarts: They live in the HP world.
2) Prestigious High School Teachers: They are high school staff.
3) Host Club: They are all hosts for the week...and hostess.
4) Horror 'Film' Scenario: All locked up in a haunted place.
5) Murder Mystery: Someone shows up dead, who is the murderer?
6) Medieval Theme: Kings, swords and lots of mud.
7) Space Pirates: Pirate gangs in space!
8) Vampires/Werewolves: ... Because it's sad and funny at the same time.
9) Dystopial Future: Everything went ape shit, what now?
10) Porn Industry: If you couldn't find a reason for smut logs, you got it!
Those are just examples, please add your idea and your comments about both things below! Even if you don't have an idea, please, just say what you are more inclined to do.

Hogwarts is definitely my biggest vote since rival school dynamics~

Also voting a NO for on the porn industry AU. I don't mind smut at all but tbh 2/3 of my muses wouldn't participate in that. Hanamiya maybe as an intern of some sort for shits and giggles. xD

Also instead of vampires/werewolf, maybe I'd vote for something like supernatural (school?) AU where each muse can be a supernatural being of the mun's choosing! Nay to the porn industry AU, but I'm okay with the other ideas if they're chosen.

Date: 2016-02-27 02:14 pm (UTC)I'm pretty neutral to an AU week - I'm cool with whatever y'all decide. I could play any of those options. The only problem that I really see is: (1) Is a week really long enough for the more complex, world building AUs and (2) if not, the people who aren't into it would have to wait longer to resume normal play.
But maybe as a comm we should do a smaller week long thing first (there was the festival, but this is kind of different I think)? Like all of the sports players have to switch sports for the week (and open it up to things like ballet and martial arts potentially).
Mostly I want Zaizen on the swim team and refusing to go in the water because it'll ruin his hair and he doesn't want to get his bathing suit wet.no subject

Most of the more in-depth au ideas I'm not sold on just because a week isn't enough to get much of anything done. Murder mystery could be fun (and be ran in-game, not as an au) though. Cross school bonding exercise or something.
